Thanks. This is really good.
Major mistake that Greece did was that - it took loans to repay loans and loans kept getting compounded. All major economies will have to share the responsibilities as they are equally guilty. They knew that the books of Greece is getting worse still they kept feeding her the loan.

Now three things -
1. Greece certainly is not going to be declared as a defaulter nation. Some deals will be cut by the end of the day as other economies has dependencies.

2. The books are not that bad as media wants us to believe. Its politics baby!!! Same like Kejriwal did and still is doing in Delhi. Delhi, pre-Kejriwal, was a surplus economy but today it's books are getting from bad to worse. No economy can survive "political subsidies/freebies" .Syriza party behaved same like Kejriwal did before election.

3. India is completely insulated from the situation in Greece. The bond between Indian economy and Greece economy is negligible and hence no effect. More so our foreign reserves are sufficient enough. Minor effects may be seen in equity markets where cautious investors may withdraw their money and wait for a correction. Indian economy will in fact be a beneficiary of the situation.
