A SIESON Of Road Safety

With Siesons’14 the annual cultural festival of SIES College Nerul to be held on 23rd and 24th of January, around the corner, the students felt the urge to put in their efforts for a social cause too.

They marched in unison, shouted slogans and created awareness on Road Safety for the masses. On Sunday 12th of January, the students of SIES College along with Traffic Police of Navi Mumbai were seen spreading awareness about road safety. They marched from SIES College to Seawoods Railway Station and back to the college campus. The walkathon flagged off at 8 am with a motivational speech at the college by PI A S Pathan. Also present among others were members of Rotract Club, SIES Nerul.

 The walkers felt in large numbers raised awareness about wearing helmets, seat belts and controlling speed limits. ‘When on the road always say Pehle Aap’ the composed slogan of the Road Safety Mission 2014 was heard around.

“To avoid traffic accidents, to spread awareness among the masses we wanted to involve the citizens and especially the youth in this road safety awareness campaign, and I feel the students of SIES College did their part very well “said PI A S Pathan.

I feel proud that the students of my college have taken the initiative in this cause to ensure Road Safety” said Prof. Rajeshri Shinde, SIES College.
