Satiate Your Biking Desire Without Actually Riding a Bike!

Biking is a passion.

Most bikers love to experiment with different bikes. However, buying multiple bikes is not feasible for all.

The best way to satiate this biking desire is to watch a motorbike in action on a big screen with the right sound effects! We are indicating to movies which have a great display of bikes.

We list below some of the best movies till date that have a grand display of motorcycles.

1)   The Terminator Series:

The Terminator series is the first name that would come to the minds of most of the readers when we mention movies and bikes. Terminator 2: Judgment Day needs a special mention here. Directed by James Cameron and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, this movie used a 300 Kg Harley-Davidson Fat Boy. In one of the most memorable scenes of the movie, Arnold makes a 3meter jump using this bike. Today, the bike adorns the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee.

2)   Ghost Rider:

Ghost Rider, released in the year 2007, and its sequel, the Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, released in early 2012, had some of the most amazing bikes. The Ghost Rider motorbike, revered as the “Hell Cycle” was a customized Yamaha VMAX. The bike was creatively given a charred look to resemble a vehicle from Hell!

3)   The Fastest Indian:

This was another gem of a movie.  A biographical film based on the renowned athlete Jim Thorpe, it had a mind-blowing performance by Anthony Hopkins. It had a generous use of bikes too, including two imitations of the 1920 Indian Scout and two customized Italian Ducatis used for the action-packed scenes.

4)   Dhoom Series:

The Bollywood directors have also shown equal interest for biking. The Dhoom series is a classic example of this. Dhoom, released in the year 2004, starred a great real-life biking fanatic – John Abraham. He used a Suzuki Hayabusa (1300cc), and his co-stars Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra used a Suzuki GSX-R600 (600cc) & a yellow Suzuki Bandit S (1200cc) respectively. While Dhoom 2 used Suzuki GSX-R 1000, Suzuki GSR 600, & Suzuki Bandit 1200 S, Dhoom 3 flaunted a BMW K1300R and a red-white BMW S 1000 RR.

There are many other movies that can entice a bike lover. This list would remain incomplete without the mention of The Motorcycle Diaries (2004), Dust to Glory (2005), The Wild One (1953), Knightriders (1981), Tron (2010), and more.

You cannot own all the amazing bikes available. But, go ahead & watch these biking movies and enjoy the feel of driving a beautiful beast!
