7 Vital Tips For Time Management At Workplace You Can Follow

For some staying well balanced, productive all the time and completing given work on time seem a myth.

But this is not true, managing time is not impossible. There are many who have achieved these things and are rich & famous as they valued and managed time well.

Follow the below mentioned techniques to master your time:

1. Sit and record what you did for whole week in office.
After writing out what exactly you did in 24 hour you will understand time spend doing work and time spend in doing unproductive work. In this way you will able to delete other not so important work and in this way that’s by keeping a track on time, you will never complain on not completing work on time.


2. Organize, Prioritize and schedule and finish one task and then hop for another.
As soon as you enter your office first thing you should do is to plan out your day. Firstly, get organized, keep everything straight and clear. Clear picture in mind of what you want within a stipulated time is very important. Also clear the clutter from desk as focus on things is a must. Write down the important tasks you need to do on a priority basis. You should know what is important for you. After prioritizing, dedicate them sufficient time to complete it.


3. Chalk out a plan which is doable and work smarter.
Many people fail to manage time because they set unattainable goals per day. So remember that it’s impossible to get away with all the work in a day. Think and draw a realistic plan with acceptable buffer. Buffers are also important take breaks which will act stimulants to finish work on time.


4. Lower the usage or Block out social media and other technology which is not needed.
If you are not a social media marketer or you are bringing income from social media platforms, then you should stay away from these distractions as they eat away your time.


5. Learn to say no.
Do not chat, answer call or do any other work in between until and unless you finish your work (if you feel the work is more important than the call or message or any interruption). If you feel there’s lot of disturbances then you should not feel shy to put DND or tell them to contact you after particular work done. Also you should say no to things that you would not like to invest your time in it.


6. Sleep for good 7-8 hours.
Lack of sleep will make you feel lethargic and laidback and that will snowball into procrastination. Sleep is very important to function properly at work so do not underestimate its value.
