Amitabh Bachchan needs no introduction.

He is a super nova of all time. His life struggles is great example for every one out there.

In Vir Shanghvi’s Draw My Life Video he extolled him by giving the following statement “man who never stays down. He always comes back and he is up again.”

Today we have outlined some lesser known facts about the acting legend Amitabh Bachchan.

  1. He has a double Master of Arts degree. He wanted to become an engineer and was keen to join the Indian Air Force. He was not allowed to speak Punjabi as a child because his father said it would ruin his Hindi pronunciation.

  1. He made his film debut in 1969 as a voice narrator in Mrinal Sen’s Bhuvan Shome.

  1. He came up with the idea of donning the glittering light suit for the song ‘Saara Zamaana’.

  1. The song Rang barse from Silsila and some lyrics from Alaap were penned by his father, Dr. Harvanshrai Bachchan. So is the poetry in Agneepath.

  1. He was rejected from AIR due to his voice and reportedly Ameen Sayani too turned him down in Mumbai.

  1. Bachchan was the first Asian to have been immortalised in wax at Madame Tussaud’s in London.

7. Big B suffers from a disease called Myasthenia gravis. Big B has been suffering from it for the past 30 years.

8. He joined politics in 1984, and was even hailed as a potential prime minister but his political stint was short lived.In an interview with Times Now, talking to Arnab Goswami, Mr. Bachchan was quoted saying, “Rajivji asked me to fight an election. I knew nothing about politics; I was put up against a huge adversary.”

9. During the shooting of Khuda Gawah, Afghani president provided Amitabh with his country’s air force for protection. It was the most watched Indian film in the history of Afghanistan.

10. Amitabh Bachchan has many unique traits. One of them is he being ambidextrous. He can write with both hands equally well.
