Slightly Mad Studios, an award winning game developer has recently announced their upcoming next generation racing game ‘Project Cars’  by releasing ‘The Ultimate Driver Journey’  trailer.

The first official trailer for Project CARS shows off some of the most unbelievably realistic car models we’ve ever seen in a video game, and apparently it’s all game play footage.

Well, this leaves us with high hopes as the game developer has released revolutionary racing franchises such as GTR, GT Legends, BMW M3 Challenge, Need For Speed, and Test Drive in the past.

Project CARS will also support the Oculus Rift and Sony’s Project Morpheus for even more intense virtual reality racing.

The impressive-looking racing game is set for launch on PC ,Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC, Steam OS & WiiU starting November 2014.

1. CLASSIC HAND-HELD WATER GAME

The all-time favorite hand-held game of our time.  Get the colored rings into the rods with hands, device-shaking, bubbles and pure willpower. This was the ultimate test of luck, skill and patience.

2. BRICK GAME (First  Gaming Console)

Our first graphical calculator with built-in games that made us spending a lot of time playing Brick Game, Snake, Arkanoid, Racing and Frogger . The geometrical blocks explained a lot of complex things in the simplest ways.

3. PACMAN

It was fun controlling the little yellow mouth shaped greedy gut who used to gulp dots & fruits whilst avoiding the scary ghosts. Indeed, Pacman is still existing in our mobiles & tablets says it all!

4. POLE POSITION

The revolutionary F1  resembling racing game created benchmarks in the gaming industry. It also introduced the ‘rear view’ style of racing games – where you see the car on the track – still used in games to this day, though the sound effect sounded like a scratching spoons on the plate. The coin operated arcades placed at the local shops came complete with a steering wheel and gear stick.

5. ROAD RASH

Everyones’ favourite combat motorcycle racing game in which we have to participate in violent and illegal street racing. We enjoyed the fun of speeding our bikes,evading cops and beating opponents to win the race.

6. WOLFENSTEIN 3D

The classic shooter Wolfenstein 3D was released for DOS on May 5, 1992 almost twenty-two years ago. In this, player assumes the role of a World War II Allied spy, William “B.J.” Blazkowicz, attempting to escape from the Nazi German prison of Castle Wolfenstein. It is widely regarded as having helped popularize the genre of run-and-gun on the PC.

7. NEED For SPEED III: HOT PURSUIT (1998)

We all have experienced the joy of racing using exotic sports car when such cars were the rarest phenomenon on the city streets.  Need for Speed for the first time offered the two-player split-screen mode, allowing two players to race using the same computer.

8. THE SUPER MARIO

The most epic game on the video game platform created by Nintendo featuring the shortest and chubbiest mustached man named ‘Mario’. We all have been a big fan of this character from mushroom kingdom repeatedly on missions to rescue the kidnapped Princess Peach.

9. Contra

We all are fond of the memories about those pride moments after completing stages of this epic video game ‘Contra’ on our Nintendo. Controlling two armed military commandos on a mission to neutralize a terrorist group and save the planet. 10 different stages and few upgrades such as weapon flying capsules empowering player with different guns while S-Power was the all time favorite. Still remember playing two player’s with a friend and quarreling for the consumption for powers!

10. ROAD FIGHTER

One of the most favorite car racing games where the goal is to reach the finish line in limited  time without hitting other cars or running out of fuel. Do you remember the superman resembling mascot flying by the side of the road if we progress to a certain point in the level without crashing?

In past few year the horror genre of games has gone through a stupendous evolution. Survival horror games are inspired by horror fiction that focuses on survival of the character and trying to scare the player. Pointing out the success of Resident Evil in 1996 was responsible for its template being used as the basis for a wave of successful survival horror games. Recently we have seen the overwhelming response for the games like Left4Dead, Dead Island series & The Last of us.

Shinji Mikami, the creator of the Resident Evil franchise, after being disappointed by recent survival horror games for having too much action,  announced his new first person survival horror game The Evil Within, coming this year.

Bethesda Softworks and Tango Gameworks led by Shinji Mikami, released a horrifying game play trailer for The Evil Within recently which will send a chills down the spine.

The video opens to Detective Sebastian Castellanos and his partner investigating a mass murder crime scene at an asylum. Suddenly, police officers are being killed off one by one at the location and Sebastian is knocked unconscious. When he wakes up, he finds himself in a burning and fallen ambulance in a mysterious place. We see the character walking past dead creatures with creepy environment, in a terrifying world where death and madness are “forever entwined.” Sebastian must confront unimaginable horrors,  you have to face his fears and fight for survival in a world where hideous creatures wander among the dead to solve the mystery behind this evil force at the asylum

The video also takes us across quick frames of a scary doctor,  zombie-like creatures, man with a caged head ,water creature and the character being given shock treatment. The video also shows the main character firing weapons and using knife for his survival and explore the secret.

The video has its surprises and twists and if you are looking for a good scare, this makes a promising game to play.  The Evil Within looks set to bring classic terror to next-gen and is one of team Youngistan’s Most Anticipated game of 2014 .The game is currently scheduled  to be released to the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on August 29 in India.
