These Tools & Apps Are So Good That They Can Easily Replace Google Products!

Google is the most trusted destination for practically all things in life for users spanning across the world. In fact, the term has now become a verb more than a proper noun. But what if we tell you that there are other products…

Since the last decade, Google has become a generic phrase for internet search. Ranging from Gmail, Picasa, Hangout, Google Drive, to Android, YouTube, Google Play, Chrome browser, and more.

Google products have become an indispensable part of our lives.

In fact, there is a little bit of Google in almost everything we do, starting from taking calls on the Android phone, sharing content on Google drive, to checking videos on YouTube.

We often wonder if some day we would ever have the guts to ditch Google and opt for other brands. But if we did, we would definitely be amazed by a host of viable options present in the market, which outweigh Google in some aspects.

Don’t believe us?

Check out the below-mentioned Google alternatives, which have been around for quite some time, but couldn’t garner much attention because of the monopoly enjoyed by Google.

Here Maps instead of Google Maps

There is no denying the fact that Google Maps is an excellent navigation tool for searching places, but Here Maps is no slouch either.

In fact, it was Nokia which pioneered the concept of digitization in everyday life. Similar to its rival, this Nokia product provides directions, local & traffic information, multi-platform support, and more. However, its impressive 3D technology coupled with various customized options is what makes Here Maps an instant favorite. It goes a long way in delivering a smooth and personalized experience to its users.

WordPress instead of Google’s Blogger

The biggest edge WordPress has over Google’s Blogger is its capability of offering customers with full control and ownership of their site.

While Blogger is a nice and simple to use platform, and integrates easily with Google+, it lacks in the customization department. Moreover, it doesn’t render much freedom to the user for controlling and maintaining the site.

WordPress, on the other hand, pampers its users in terms of flexibility and offers a myriad of beautiful designs. Its exquisite user interface, variety of themes, and user-friendly approach makes it a steal for those who wish to flaunt a standalone website.

DuckDuckGo instead of Google Search

While there are endless options to substitute Google Search, such as Firefox, Opera, and several others, we chose DuckDuckGo for the primary reason that it is a privacy-focused search engine.

It also comes packed with some unique and cool features which we wished Google supported, such as enabling viewing of social media profiles without leaving the page, providing strong passwords to users, and allowing the use of a quick stopwatch. It also generates instant answers for calculation of loan, calendar, rhyming words, and more.

Of course, there are some outstanding services which we simply can’t avoid, such as YouTube and Hangouts, which are the clear winners in their respective segments.

Nevertheless, the above-mentioned tools are definitely worth a try. So what’s your take on Google products?
