The popular show, South Park has finally hit consoles.

On TV, South Park has been running for 17 years and with this game, it isn’t difficult to see why it is still so popular.

The creators of the show Trey Parker and Matt Stone have been heavily involved with this game, and that has made this a truly enjoyable RPG.

Review

You are the new kid, everyone’s talking about you. South Park is a quiet mountain town in Colorado. You get unlimited options to customize the new kid’s looks. No matter how you look, you will still be called ‘Douchebag’. The new kid will soon meet Butters, your first friend. Then, you will be taken to the kingdom of ‘Kupa Keep’ where you will meet Cartman. He calls himself the ‘Wizard King’, with duty to protect ‘The Stick of Truth’ from the Elves. As you move across town, you will make new friends and all of them become your friends on Facebook too.

The combat is a turn-based one. Cartman ensures the new kid is well-trained to handle any combat. There is a great variety of weapons and also health potions. As you rank up, your abilities are enhanced. You come across enemies regularly. At one point, you also intervene in a fight over a Justin Bieber toy.

The overall graphics are simple. That is exactly what this game needed. It feels like you are watching an episode of South Park, but the actions are controllable. The game will last easily over 15 hours. This RPG is splendid and most importantly, it is hilarious. Some of the references will make you jump off your seat with laughter. As you move around town, you can peep around in closets and drawers. Be prepared for what you will find inside them. If South Park tickles your funny bone, the game won’t do anything different.

Verdict

If you are a South Park fan, there is no excuse for missing out on this one. The game’s fan service is excellent. If you haven’t watched or heard of South Park before, this game acts as an entertaining RPG.
