We all have that one product that looks smashing, but is rather old. Who knew that those things would turn out to be vintage and rather cool?

Yes, dear readers, decorating your room with old and classic stuff is what the youth is doing these days. It’s kind of a norm these days. Here’s how you can make your room look charming…read on:

Lamp shade:
One of the best ways to pep up your room is by placing a gorgeous lamp shade from the eras gone by. If you have any of those old ones with tiny bulbs and beautiful hand-work are ideal for any room. You might even place a vintage lamp in your living room to add the right amount of jazz to your room. Imaging an ultra modern room with a tiny space allocated to old and classy stuff. Wow, really adds personality to the room, isn’t it?

Stark contrast:
If you have a very modern kitchen with amenities and technologies, try offsetting it with a grand tea pot from your granny’s collection. It will not only add spunk, but the stark contrast will make your kitchen the talking point…you should try this out during get-togethers and brunches when there’s a possibility of actually having tea in those shiny cups.

Classic chic:
However modern your house might be, but a tinge of vintage does make the house look and feel warmer and nicer. It offers classic chic, along with a very grandmommy feel. Isn’t that a great combo? It sure is. If you have a chunky clock that’s not particularly modern, paint it deep maroon and hang it on your room. If your walls are dark, paint it sunshine yellow and hang it out. If you don’t get looks of approval from your friends and families, you can write to us.

Exotic wall hangings:
There’s a great way to make your wall look rather cool. Simply grab wall hangings from your old aunt’s house and make it your wall hanging. It will look glamorous, for sure. Make sure to pick up stuff that is based on villages and cultures, so you’ll have a story to tell.

In an increasingly modern world, it’s good to retain a bit of vintage touch. You never know, it could turn out to be the next ‘cool’ thing of the century!
