Derby Delight: Tottenham Hotspurs Takes On Arsenal While Everton Lock Horns With Liverpool

In what seems to be a cracker of a Saturday, Arsenal welcome Tottenham for the first North London Derby of the season as both the teams looks to end on a winning note.

In what seems to be a cracker of a Saturday, Arsenal welcome Tottenham for the first North London Derby of the season as both the teams looks to end on a winning note.

Both the sides possess one of the best attacking talent in the EPL but the Gunners will be on a high, after impressing their last league game against Aston Villa.

Even though the loss at Southampton came as a blip, manager Arsene Wenger will be make sure there are no more hiccups going into this important fixture. This is one of the most highly anticipated clashes of the Premier League season.

The Gunners will want to get back to winning ways ahead of a crucial week, which sees them face Galatasaray in the Champions League and travel to Stamford Bridge the following weekend.

Arsenal are still unbeaten in the league but Tottenham Hotspurs will look to end that run as manager Mauricio Pocchettino, managing his first ever NLD, will ask his men to come to the party. The White Hart Lane side began their season with a bang following two impressive wins, but have not won a game following the 3-0 loss to Liverpool at home followed it up with a 1-0 loss to West Bromwich Albion.

If facts are to go by, Arsene’s men have the upper hand when it comes to North London Derby’s having won all three encounters last season. With all the stats stacked in their corner, a win for the red half looks likely as Pocchettino, who still finding his feet in the Spurs shoes.

In another feisty encounter that promises thrills and goals galore, Merseyside rivals Liverpool go head to head against Everton at Anfield. Brendan Rodgers who lost star striker Luis Suarez to Barcelona in the summer, will rely on Italian madcap Mario Balotelli to fire in the goals. The Reds who spent most of the time shopping big names, have already lost three of their opening five Premier League games this season.

Despite the UEFA Champions League returning to Anfield this season, Steven Gerrard and his men might have to shuffle in the players, if they are to challenge for trophies.

On the other hand, Roberto Martinez’s Everton enjoyed a good return to European football with a thumping victory last week but have been struggling for form in the EPL. A home defeat at the hands of struggling Crystal Palace in the league was followed by a 3-0 loss at Swansea in the League Cup in midweek.

Both the teams will want to avoid a defeat and we might see a dull game into play but do expect goals from this derby.
